Introducing CUE 1™

CUE 1™ is a streamlined application designed to enable control over the ETC Eos® and Ion® lighting control software through a smartphone or tablet. It offers an accessible interface for executing a range of commands, simplifying on-the-fly adjustments during live productions.

Operational Overview

CUE 1 communicates via the UDP string interface, introduced in version 1.9.5 of the Eos®/Ion® software. To ensure compatibility, users must operate with version 1.9.5 or later. The application requires that the device running CUE 1 is connected to the same wireless network as the lighting control console—this necessitates a wireless access point incorporated within the lighting system infrastructure.

At present, CUE 1 functions as a unidirectional control interface, capable solely of transmitting commands to the lighting software. It does not support receiving feedback or status updates from the console.
